Colophon
The things behind the pages.
A quiet site, made with a few good tools.
Type and layout.
The headings use Newsreader, with Jost for navigation and supporting text. Both are distributed under the SIL Open Font License and hosted with the site. The layout keeps reading columns comfortable and follows your system’s light or dark appearance.
Built for reading.
This is a static Astro website. Pieces live as Markdown in a shared content collection. Reading pages work without browser JavaScript; gallery pages add an optional keyboard operated image viewer. RSS and the sitemap are generated with the site.
Writing and attribution.
Original portfolio notes retain their credits, dates and development labels. New editorial technique notes and essays were prepared with AI assistance for this journal and checked against the linked sources. They are labeled as editorial writing. They do not stand in for a chef’s tested recipe or an account of a personal experience.
Work and rights.
Art and food photographs come from Louis Calata’s existing portfolio. Collaborative projects carry their original team notes. Software screenshots and documentation retain their release context. Each piece has a rights note; code and font licenses are separate from the rights to artwork and prose.
Astro is MIT licensed. Newsreader and Jost use the SIL Open Font License. No stock imagery is used.
