What’s on the table.
A small snapshot of this site and the work it brings together. Updated October 20, 2026.
Making a home for four interests.
The Louis in SF portfolio is now For The Love Of: one journal for food, code, art and ideas. The existing work remains here, including original gallery notes, collaborators’ credits, and software documentation.
On the reading desk.
The first Ideas essays consider William Morris on useful and beautiful objects, and Marcus Aurelius on attention. These are editorial reading notes, with source texts linked so you can follow the argument for yourself.
In the kitchen notes.
The opening technique notes look at browning and caramel. The historical culinary collections are here too. Recipes will have ingredients, method, timing and allergens when tested recipes are ready to share.
In the code archive.
The Nisi and AGIW case studies document two approaches to making local AI work easier to inspect: a bounded coding workflow and a Mac inference monitor. Their repository links lead to the source and release history.
A new address.
The journal lives at fortheloveof.studio. Links to the earlier louisinsf.com address lead here. RSS is the simplest way to follow new pieces.
